In April of this year, Rev. Carol Parrish was in Black Mountain, North Carolina to teach about the Evolution of Humanity. Rev. Rebecca Nagy, of New Directions Ministry in Charlotte, was one of those lucky few that were present at Black Mountain. A student of Rev. Parrish and graduate of Sancta Sophia Seminary, where Rev. Parrish is the Dean, Rev. Nagy has agreed to give us a synopsis of this information and has further interviewed Rev. Parrish that we might become more familiar with the message before her arrival.
Rev. Nagy: I have known Carol Parrish since 1987, and I can honestly say that she is one of the most prolific teachers of this time. There is a lot of nonsense being espoused “out there,” and what I most admire about Carol and the course she has set for Sancta Sophia as a modern-day mystery school is the grounded, practical approach to the message of the Christ and the Ancient Wisdom Teachings. The other piece of this message is that we are apart of a larger group family that includes parallel evolutions that are very much a part of the next step that Gaia, Mother Earth, is about to take. We, as part of this Big Picture, are charged to be wise ones as we interact with the planet and each other, as well as our “siblings” in the angelic realms and the special brotherhood, as we move closer to what may be the biggest leap humanity has taken in consciousness since it began. The subject of evolution and the evolutions is a timely one, so that we may be conscious co-creators in this next forward movement.
Rev. Nagy: “What it is you would like the people of the Triangle to know about the topic of evolution?”
Rev. Parrish: “It is important for people to realize that this is the most significant period of out time, humanity is claiming, or rediscovering, its relationship with the other kingdoms. And, when we talk about kingdoms, we have to include the evolutions that are our cousins—angelic kingdoms and the spacial beings as scary (or) weird, because in the long run we will find, just like human beings come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and temperaments, the beings that live in the subtle planes around the Earth, likewise, have quite a variety of characteristics and consciousness. Some of them are kind and wonderful, helping us, humanity, to evolve in the same way that some human beings are sensitive to animals, and love and care for them; and some happen to be in ecology. Other human beings take for granted life around them and are insensitive to those kingdoms. Similarly, there are spacial beings that have their own agenda, just as some are highly evolved and nurturing humanity.
Rev. Nagy: “Would we consider angelic and special two different evolutionary cycles?”
Rev. Parrish: “Yes.”
Rev. Nagy: “In order for the angelic kingdom to evolve, part of their evolutionary process is service, what about the spacial kingdoms?”
Rev. Parrish: “Part of it is service . . . But the angelic kingdom works with building forms and correcting, healing, energizing, and responding to the invoking of less subtle planes. The mental beings (spacials) have more to do with the construction of thoughtforms and beaming those thoughtforms out to less subtle beings. And guiding those thoughtforms protectively, as the hierarchy has certain ones who watch over the destiny of a nation or certain ones who are holding a particular kind of energy for us. So the ones who are more mental are constructing thoughtforms and energy streams that will be emanated. Perhaps humanity can sense those and respond to them. At least a part of humanity can.”
Rev. Nagy: “Is the response more likely to come from other spacials who have taken human form, or can the response come from both the human evolution and spacials in human form?”
Rev. Parrish: “They will come from both. The biggest challenge is that the spacials who have some in human form can assist humanity but cannot be the final authority. Humanity has to vote to save itself. All the angelics and spacials who are incarnate can influence then stand back, because they dense body of the planet is ruled by the collective mind of humanity.”
Rev. Nagy: “So many people are running around saying they are of the Spacial evolution and, because of that, they are going to be part of the count at the end but they really aren’t.”
Rev. Parrish: “No, all the spacials are trying to do is deliver the ideas and influence the vote.”
Rev. Nagy: As humanity steps forward in the Kingdom of Souls, what will happen to the animal kingdom?”
Rev. Parrish: “Not all of humanity is going into the Kingdom of Souls, only a small part. As humanity steps into the Kingdom of Souls and starts that new kingdom, as in the past, swarms will come forward from the animal kingdom into the human kingdom. There is always a movement from kingdom to kingdom, but there has never been the Kingdom of Souls incarnate from humanity. This is a new experience. The swarms that are moving upward within the framework of the kingdoms will continue to do so.”
There have been some channeled materials about a space being who is called Sananda, who claims to be the same soul who incarnated as the master whom we call Jesus. According to the Teachings, in order for one to become an Ascended Master, one’s soul must have begun in the human kingdom—not the spacial kingdom. Each kingdom has its own evolutionary path. There may be cross-over (i.e., a spacial soul may take on a human body), but the soul group of that kingdom may only set the course of a kingdom’s evolution.”
Rev. Nagy: “A lot of channeled materials from Sananda say he is a space being. But from out studies we know Jesus was a highly evolved human, which is why he could hold the energy of the Christ for humanity. Would you comment on that?”
Rev. Parrish: “Wisdom teachings say that Jesus was a very great initiate of the human kingdom that moved with dedication to the position of becoming the Great Initiate in order to serve the Christ a he did. It is fairly well accepted that Jesus himself had the previous incarnation as Krishna, moving from that to his life as Jesus and from there, to a life as Appolonius. He could not have achieved what he did as a Great Initiate of humanity had he been a spacial being. He could have role-modeled but he would not have been the rose bush of humanity blooming to prove that it could—a way shower.”
Appolonius of Tyana was a great philosopher who lived in the first century A.D., and much historical evidence exists about him and his teachings.
Rev. Nagy: “After Apollonius, is that when he (the soul that embodied the physical vehicle of the person we call Jesus) became and Ascended Master?”
Rev. Parrish: “Yes. Nothing in the teachings about Apollonius contradicted anything the man we call Jesus taught. He worked outside the framework of the church and more in the field of philosophy. After that, because his contribution had been so great in the life of Jesus, he was recognized as the Master Jesus, the Chohan.”
The wisdom teachings also referred to as the Ancient Wisdom, or Ageless Wisdom, are a body of work that includes the writings of Theosophical writers (H.P. Blavatsky, Annie Besant, and Charles W. Leadbeater), the writings of Alice Bailey, and all wisdom teachings throughout the ages, i.e., the Kabalah.
Rev. Nagy: “What do you want people to know about your work?”
Rev. Parrish: “My principal work is in establishing a school to restore the wisdom teachings to a place of dignity and prepare workers for the expansion of consciousness that is beginning and will most rapidly continue. The preparation of teachers—people who know how to do energy work and who have their spiritual sense unfolded and purified—is of prime importance. The second aspect is to participate in an international network of spiritual workers so that indeed we can move closely identify that humanity is one family.”
Rev. Nagy: “Would you comment on the interfaith movement?”
Rev. Parrish: “Interfaith truly means that people stand in their own faith tradition and respect and appreciate the contributions other world religions have made and are making to the evolution or uplifting or enlightenment of humanity. For the seminary, if we really believe all humanity is one family, interfaith work is like acknowledging the spiritual path of our brothers and sisters or cousins or distant relatives that may have a little different slant on God, evolution, or enlightenment, but we still love an care for them . For example, an interfaith Islamic esotericist would say that Jesus was a great prophet just as Mohammed was a great prophet. It is not taking all scriptural and all spiritual ideas, putting them in a pot, and cooking them down to mush. It is more like a salad wherein each ingredient retains its own color, its own flavor, its own spice; you put them together in such a way that you make an attractive and nourishing repast. But you are not hindering each one from having its own flavor.
Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be also in each of us.
That means lifting ourselves to a purified place where judgment and intolerance are left behind, and we truly try to see the divine potential and the spirit of God in one another.”
