A warm message to all of you who I have missed in the last three weeks as I have visited Florida, and in the last few days tried to catch up with the stuff on my desk.
My first thought is a thank you for the birthday cards from you. Friends are wonderful, and I appreciate your remembrances. When we think of the power of positive thought, we realize how important the bonds we have with one another truly are. Do you recall a ditty that went something like this? Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver; the other is gold. I do not remember all the words, but get the thought.
Picture of Carol and Charles in the warmer land — while others suffered the ice storms — so sorry, but am I really?
Here we see Charles and his sister, Dot, enjoying a waterside lunch. She was our hostess while there and took really good care of us, so we say thank you to her for our bed and breakfast. We had great service, but I do not believe she is quite ready to hang out a shingle. Thank you, Dot!
All of us knowledgeable in this field, at some point have thought about the dangers of psychic attack which is really negative thoughts, or thoughts of harm being directed to another. Well, if we believe negative thoughts harm, we certainly must see the value of positive thoughts in keeping us going. I thank you for keeping my “tank” full, and in return I want you to know it works both ways: I appreciate you very much.
The point of the Exceptional Letter is to stay in touch and to be able to say the important small talk that makes life precious. I, and many others, can get so caught up in our work— our daily duties—that we forget to reach out and squeeze the hand of our friends. Telephones first made this more possible, now e-mail is doing it, and especially if we are open to letters that we can share with small groups. I value our communication a lot.
Florida was great for me. I saw so many dear persons; I tried to catch up with the families, friends of the past and to make new connections. My days in Sarasota were rich and wonderful. So often now I realize I have been away from there for 27 years! I value the loyalty of the group that still has remnants of my classes when I lived there. So many are now in the Higher World, but a strong supportive group still greets me there.
Sherry Robertson, one of the artists featured in Sophia Sutras. Her home is an art gallery and I was fortunate to spend time there. Sherry is a teacher with Light of Christ and an art therapist.
Also, while there I visited Villa Serena. The gentleman who now owns the building has completely restored it to the beautiful condition that it was originally and has gotten it listed on the Historical Register. I walked through the halls and into my former classroom, office and bookstores to see what has happened and all is lovely. The owner is an artistic and talented man, who is lots of fun. He has a grand piano sitting now in my classroom — ever so elegant.
From memories to present: I also had the pleasure of speaking at The Temple of the Living God where I began my public life. Here again were old friends and new. I delight in visiting the Temple and Rev. Leroy Zemke who is a friend of many years — he is one of those who can say, “I remember her when.” Thank goodness, Leroy doesn’t tell all he knows! Messengers of Hope tells all too much as well.
Messengers of Hope also concludes with information about the three evolutions: human, devic, and spacial that are currently concerned about our Earth and its future. So, of course, I spent an afternoon in a library in Bradenton, Florida sharing ideas about the kingdoms. It was really hard to try to condense 25 hours of teaching (my usual week on the subject) to a few hours, but I gave it my best shot!
I arrived home to find the woods around the Village devastated by the ice storm. When one enters the road from Highway 10 into the Village itself, the road looks like a war zone and that is not an exaggeration. Trees are down on both side of the road and some not quite off the roadway. You drive past heap after heap of branches, broken limbs pulled aside to open the road so traffic can continue. The properties in the Valley are more harmed than those on top of the hill. Last time on top was hit the hardest; this time it was the Valley. All of us are in cleaning and clearing.
Here is the sight as we turn off Highway 10
Our heartfelt empathy goes out to Hanna and Toni, who really got it. They share a house off the Village property but nearby. Hanna’s car was damaged and Toni’s was totaled by falling trees. And the story goes on and on for this state and others. Have you notice the Earth Changes? Keep doing your Healing Meditations for Mother Earth and learn to talk with nature spirits with true love.
First, I have always wanted to go see the Manatees in Florida. I lived very close and had seen one at a time in the river before, but this year, because it was cold even down there, they had come in to the Visiting Station where they congregate when weather is cold. The electric company has built a lovely viewing station and since it puts clean, hot water into the river right there, the Manatee take advantage of the warmer water.
One day, as I was travelling, I took time to stop and see them. There were about fifty gathered and we were within feet of them able to look down and see them fairly close. They are huge; a few 10 to 12 feet long. They looked like a herd of rhinoceros lying in the water. It was profound. This is a sight worth seeing for those of you who travel Interstate 75 in Florida. Do not miss this rare and breathtaking sight — much better in winter than summer because they feed on the vegetation in the rivers and scatter throughout the waters of Florida in warm weather. When it is colder, even better when cold, they come in and enjoy warm water. Don’t we all!
Here you can see some of the manatee in the water. As you travel South on Interstate 75, there is a sign indicating Manatee Viewing Station. I would recommend stopping and spending some wonderful minutes. There is a small museum, coffee shop and a wildlife lesson free of charge.
Second, next Wednesday, the 11th, I am off to Annapolis, MD for lots of events. Hope to see you at some event. Stay in touch, and keep the grid of light and love strong for all of us.
With my love, Carol
